Melanie Rubin is the owner and principal in MassagePROFIT.com. In providing consulting for organizations in the massage field she works with a team of partners including:- marketing and public relations colleagues;
- graphic, interior, architectural, and web designers;
- feng shui experts;
- print, television, and radio account executives;
- photographers; television and video producers; and
- writers.
She also provides one-on-one coaching, either in-person or over the phone, for massage therapists, massage school owners and executives, spa owners, and leaders and executives of other types of organizations within the massage field. Since 1999 Melanie has been coaching business owners to help them earn more money with less stress and increase their overall wellness and quality of life. Because she has been fascinated by complementary healing methods for more than 20 years, she has coached many complementary health practitioners, including dozens of massage therapists.
In 2005 Melanie founded MassagePROFIT.com to focus her passion for complementary health by providing more extensive business support in the field of massage. In this capacity, she brings together her past experience and expertise not only as a business coach and business owner but also in the fields of: Teaching and curriculum development; Corporate training development and delivery; Organizational development facilitation; Writing and publishing; Architectural design and construction management; Multimedia development; and Television and video production.
Her education includes: Completion of the Coaching Training Program at Coach University Certification as a team leader in Dr. Ray Strand's "Healthy for Life" nutritional coaching program A Masters of Education in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts, Boston Certification as a yoga instructor by the Nityananda Institute in Portland, Oregon Architectural Training at M.I.T. and the Boston Architectural Center A Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University Training in Video Production and Multimedia Development from many institutions

She was born in New York City and raised in and outside of Manhattan. Melanie went to college in Providence, Rhode Island and graduate school in Boston, Massachusetts, then moved to Portland, Oregon in 1993. In December of 2000 she relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
